There is a lot of variation in the uniform at Morning Glories Academy:

Girls' Uniforms

• Vanessa's blue uniform appears to be unique: she seems to be the only one who wears it. She is in this outfit when she visits young Hodge. The only time she is not seen in this uniform is in Issue 1, where she is in the plaid skirt favored by Akiko.
• The plaid skits that Akiko and Vanessa wear only appear in the first issue (except fot Akiko who wears it as part of her typical outfit).
• There is a surprising variation in skirt length.
